Dave Neal ~ Musical Theater Instructor and Coach

Dave's involvement in the arts began at a very early age. With the support of his family, he participated in musical arts programs, at his school and church, from the time he was in elementary school until he graduated from high school. By age 16 he was already an experienced actor and professional singer. While working as a youth director at the Salvation Army Church, he was directing inner city youth in musical productions. By age 19 Dave felt the call to be a minister. He attended the Salvation Army School for Officers' Training (Seminary), studying theology and music. At age 22 he married and a year later their beautiful daughter was born. After graduation and ordination, he was assigned to Pastor in Toms River, NJ and Patterson, NJ where he continued his dramatic pursuits by directing, and participating in community and religious theatrical productions. He then moved back to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area in 1992, to pursue a degree in Musical Theatre. Dave returned to Northern Kentucky University, and formed Neal Productions

In its beginning, Neal Productions' desire was to make the world of acting and music available to those who have longed to reach for the stars, by providing them with an outlet for their creative talents. As we grew, our vision focused more on young people. It was our ambition to share our experience and abilities with the children of our area. Teaching them the fundamentals of drama, set design, costume design, and all the "ins and outs" of theater productions.

Now, with a renewed commitment, our goal has expanded to teach, entertain, and encourage children, as well as adults, who want to make the theatrical arts a part of their lives. We believe that by our simple approach, any person has the potential to confidently learn to create the same "magical world" with the resources they have at hand.

Dave offers individual coaching as well as group classes.

After School Fine Arts Academy

A) 5pm – 5:45 Kids Musical Theater Workshop! - Grades 1 - 5

B) 6pm- 6:45 Jr. High/Middle School Drama and Music Workshop - Grades 6 - 8

C) 7pm – 7:45 Senior High Drama and Music Workshop - Grades 9 - 12

D) 8pm- 8:45 Adult Drama 101 - Age 18 and Up!  This class is designed to bring out the hidden star!  A class designed for adults to let loose and explore their creative side of the world of music and theater.  Learn while being creative through monologues, skits, scenes and fun exercise!

Fees: $20.00 per class paid in monthly installments.
